Altx alternative exchange
Altx is the JSE's 'parallel' market or Alternative Exchange for small to medium and growing companies. It is Africa's first alternative market, a growth exchange for young, innovative companies and investors. The market opened for trading from 27th October, 2003.
Altx is designed to appeal to a diverse range of companies in all sectors, with black economic empowerment companies and junior mining companies being targeted for listings.
In addition to the full support and backing of the JSE and its many stakeholders, the Alternative Exchange ALTx has partnered with the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti).
