ORCA to watch over the Bay

ORCA (Ocean Research Conservation Africa) is the first privately funded initiative to support, fund and facilitate the protection of the Bay.
Together with local businesses, Ocean Blue Adventures, and the Qolweni Community Development Trust, ORCA has taken the lead in marine tourism and conservation by implementing partnerships between government, the private sector and NGO's. The programme is designed to include three main areas of activities: research, monitoring and education.
Conservation
Orca hopes to target the minds of children with a concept of conservation.
This year Orca took 400 children from this area through the centre and on an educational tour, including a trip on the patrol boat, introducing these children to the mysteries and wonders of the Bay.
