National/International companies often think that they have to
source specialists from all around South Africa and in fact the
world, whereas a number of skilled and qualified candidates/trainers
are situated right here in the heart of the Garden Route, just waiting
for their niche career to become available.
In January and February 2003 our local department of labour paid
out UIF benefits to 5669 people. They have since received 978 new
applications within the George area. This however is not a true
refelction of unemployment as some people do not even register for
benefits.
From the above statistics one can see that we do not have a labour
shortage, but the most effective way of sourcing candidates is for
clients to approach our dynamic (IPSC accredited) team and let us
do what we're best at - that is "scooping out the gems of various
industries giving you the best available candidates/trainers".
By delegating your staffing needs to us, we can save you both time
and money with our efficiency and experience.
Our most sought after candidates at this point in time are those
top caliber with unblemished records, who are fully qualified and/or
experienced: *Chefs and hospitality industry staff up to and including
5 star. *Motor industry staff (branch managers, sales people, service
advisors, petrol and diesel mechanics, and other specialist motor
industry people). *Office automation sales reps and technicians.
*Nurses. *Code B security *Hairdressers *Beauty therapists, *Production
staff (Millwrights, Boilermakers and other specialists), * Conveyancing
secretaries,* AA retail management, *Sales Reps - especially FMCG.
Because a large percentage of companies based in our area are smaller
branches or privately owned, employers seem to prefer a multi-skilled
candidate, for example a PA or Secretary who has Pastel accounting
qualifications or experience is more marketable.
So often we are approached by large recruitment/training organisations
to assist them with working on positions in our area - because we
are where it all happens. We join forces with a company outside
of the Garden Route to fulfill the client's needs. This results
in our area is not getting the total benefit of the income derived
from that placement. So let's work together and support the motto
"buying local is best," for the economy of the Garden
Route.
