The horizon set to change at Brackenridge, Plettenberg Bay
Foundations thrown on the first home worth R1,2 million

All the many purchasers of stands at Brackenridge, Plettenberg Bay, the exclusive 128 hectare fynbos Private Residential Nature Preserve, will be gratified at the news that the first set of house plans were recently approved by the Brackenridge architectural review committee. The appointed building contractor of this landmark first dwelling, with a completion price of R1,2 million, has already moved onto the site and foundations have been excavated and thrown.
Currently, 4 other sets of plans for clients from as far afield as Hong Kong are under review by the committee and yet another 5 sets of plans are scheduled to be submitted by the end of 2002.
It will be noted that Phase 1 site services, infrastructure of an exceptional standard, have already been completed by Power Construction during May 2002. Phase 2 site services, in spite of delays caused by the exceptionally heavy winter rains, have been completed, thereby also opening this Phase for the construction of homes.

Brackenridge has it all for the discerning

The Brackenridge Private Residential Nature Preserve, located on an elevated ridge, offers the discerning investor in upmarket resort developments magnificent views over the Indian ocean, the Robberg Peninsula Nature Reserve and the adjacent Plettenberg Bay Country Club. One of the last great tracts of elevated land in Plettenberg Bay, Brackenridge is now bounded by a 5,5 kilometre double-layer electrified perimeter fence, recently completed. Strict access-control to the estate is exercised at the gatehouse which is manned by security personnel who are also able to monitor breaches of the perimeter fence and respond on off-road motorcycles.
The electrified perimeter fence, out of site of the majority of the elevated stands, encloses 128 hectares of preserved and managed coastal fynbos, thereby buffering the estate from the surrounding suburban sprawl by a natural African Eden, while still offering exceptional standards of security.
This highly desirable cocktail of views, fynbos and exceptional security, set in a magnificent Garden Route resort which offers world-class recreational and lifestyle amenities has steadily attracted quality purchasers and investors, both local and international from inception some 24 months ago.
The lion's share of the stands in Phase 1 have been snapped up, realising sales of almost R25 000 000. Recently, the first R1 million stand was sold upon which the owner has plans to invest in a home worth over R1,5 million.
During this period, several investors have cashed in on the resale of their stands in Phase 1 and realised exceptional returns.
The recently-launched Phase 2, already having realised sales of over R1 350 000, offers even more investment potential with stands priced from R200 000, exceptional value in sought-after Plettenberg Bay when one considers the added value of such a high-end, elevated security development as Brackenridge.

Escalating stand values at Brackenridge

Experience has demonstrated time and again that the construction of the first homes in a development generates a fresh surge of interest, especially amongst investors, who know that an escalation in the value of the stands is certain to follow.
There has never been a better time, therefore, to make an investment in Brackenridge, an estate promoted as 'Simply Stunning ' with good reason.
The acquiring of the majority shareholding of Brackenridge Property Pty Limited during 2001 by Power Developments, the property development division of The Power Group of Companies under the astute Chairmanship of Graham, has further enhanced the appeal of the development. With this acquisition has come a new impetus, the appointment of an experienced project management team, a revamped and motivated sales team and a fresh look at the advertising, marketing and publicity of the development.
The development web site, www.brackenridge.co.za, has been revamped with an emphasis on the graphic. Information not essential to the viewer until further into the purchasing process has been edited. The web site, although a work in progress, has already generated favourable response both locally and internationally on its re-flighting on the 1 October 2002. Plot & Plan homes are available at Brackenridge, with a base price of R790 000. There is also the option of Project Management which offers stand purchasers the ability to build at Brackenridge no matter how far afield from Plettenberg Bay they may currently reside.
