Sales move into top gear
at Knysna Equipment Hire

Knysna Equipment Hire has moved up a gear in 2004 with an allocation of over R1 million for additional and replacement equipment, mainly into its hire divisions.
This will primarily consist of both the replacement and expansion of the mechanical and electrical machinery divisions, with the most up to date models of breakers, drills and various other equipment having already been incorporated into the hire fleet.
Ivan van Lier, MD of the company, said, “I am pleased to report that very few hire rates will be increased this year, due mainly to the substantial increase in hire revenue and the contribution from other divisions, combined with the effect of the ongoing increase in our customer base.”
“To support the ever growing workload, we have increased our staff complement which sees the arrival of Ken Wilkinson. Ken, who retired from Federated Timbers after 46 years of service with them, has been the manager of Federated Timbers Knysna for the last fifteen years. His wealth of knowledge and contacts in the construction industry will most certainly be a huge asset to our company,” said Ivan.
“Staff in the Maintenance and Service Divisions have also been increased to four experienced mechanics, plus three technicians to cope with the additional workload of servicing our own equipment, as well as the repairs and maintenance of customers' equipment,” concluded Ivan.
